THE COLLECTION - PART THREE: SAND PIXELS

In a digital image the pixel is the smallest, and therefore essential, in the display of the image: he is the key element through which we understand the quality of the image: more pixels, more quality, more "reality." Establishing a very close relationship with this concept, the UAVM selected a series of images of a series called "Castles of Sand", establishing a parallel between the sand of the beach and the pixel of the image. The starting point was, through digital manipulation, stretch the pixel in the image. The grain of sand becomes into small squares, and the image in a kind of mosaic. Thanks to digital manipulation, images transform into deserts, in saline, guard towers in the Sahara ... "Pixels of Sand" give rise to other worlds that live inside of others, as secrets, like the water in the desert sands.
